Sister Paula discusses The Color of Sunlight
and her evangelical / pentecostal perspectives on the blessings of the transgender life.
Sister Paula, a true transgender pioneer, has lived as a woman since 1963. In the 1970's, she worked as a church secretary in the early years of Portland's Metropolitan Community Church. In the 80's and early 90's, she performed at the legendary Darcelle XV.
In 1987, she began her public access television program, presenting an evangelical ministry, that is pro LGBT. She has since appeared on many national and international television and radio shows, as well as being featured in People Magazine.
